Whether you've never done yoga before or have mastered handstands, you can never stretch your body yourself as deeply as a trained professional can stretch it for you. Nor can you achieve the incredible meditative states possible by just relaxing and receiving this deep, releasing work. Here's what this work can do for you:
Improve flexibility
Release stress from the body
Quiet the mind
Open your heart
Create an overall sense of freedom and well-being
Peace and ease
Increased joy
This work is for those who want more than some sweet nurturing for their bodies, although it often includes that. This is for those brave souls who seek to understand their bodies, to learn to listen to and interpret the messages they give us, and to tap into the extraordinary wisdom within to create magical change without. This is for people who want:
Personal growth
Emotional freedom
Skills for improving well-being
Clarity
Inner-connection
Self-acceptance
Wholeness
Being truly heard
Physical embodiment
Opening to life
Awakening to truth
Accessing your wisdom
Hopefulness
Happiness
This work is very much like BodyMind Therapy, only with less hands on physical assistance. It is for those who are already able to connect with their bodies without needing the physical manipulation to garner their attention. So if you already have a mindfulness practice of some kind (Tai Chi, meditation, yoga, ...) , this work will both utilize those skills and help strengthen them. The most distinct aspect of this form of therapy is that it includes the intuitive and often insightful perspective of the witness, who may be accessing wisdom that your body is sharing but you are yet unable to interpret or piece together. Also, where desired, relevant mindfulness principles may be shared.
Spiritual Counseling is also available by Phone, Zoom, Skype, and Facetime!
Drawn from Osteopathic techniques, this work helps relieve acute pain in the body - muscles, joints, tendons, etc. It offers the body an opportunity to reset itself where there is a painful holding and provides freedom of motion where there is limitation. Some examples of when this might be helpful are:
Repetitive strain injury
Muscle spasm
Persistent cramping
Back pain or "out"
Joint stiffness and/or pain
It is also profoundly relaxing, but that's just an added bonus!
